All representation must begin with
a consideration of whether to assume
the representation. The process of
considering representation typically
begins when an injured victim or other
family member contacts the Firm. We
strongly recommend that any potential
claimant contact legal counsel as soon
as possible after a potential claim
occurs. Our experience has taught us
the development of witnesses and evidence
can be substantially impacted by delay.
Contact usually occurs as a result
of a referral from another attorney,
physician, friend of the Firm or former
client. A paralegal or attorney will
obtain general information from you
over the phone. This information allows
us to make a preliminary determination
as to representation. This process
may take several phone calls and several
days. The potential client may be asked
to provide records or documents. Accident
facts, insurance coverage issues and
statues of limitation are among the
factors considered at this stage.
